Armor- Breastplate Of Righteousness
Ok gang … the second piece of armor the Bible tells us to put on is the “Breastplate of Righteousness “ (Ephesians 6:14)
The Roman soldiers would wear breastplates in battle to protect their HEARTS … Proverbs 4:23 tells us ” to keep vigilant watch over your HEART; that’s where life STARTS…. keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all the distractions, watch your step and the road will stretch out smooth before you!” . .. The Bible also tells us that “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” What’s coming out of your mouth?? …. the way we think, the way we conduct our lives is the very fruit of what is in our hearts… what’s in your heart?? Examine your heart today …. are you allowing good things to penetrate your heart, things that God says about you … That you are loved, that he made you perfectly and wonderfully, that He has a unique destiny for you, that he loves you the way you are… Do not let distractions of this world or distractions of wrong ways of thinking in!!! It takes us down the wrong paths!!! Guard yourself, protect your heart from the distractions – POLICE what you’re allowing into your heart, what you’re hearing, what your seeing, what you’re thinking!!!!! We are told to value and protect our minds, emotions, and will!
