Confident Positioning
Howdy guys…. So I was on a little bit of a rant this last blog …. I apologize if I offended anyone. On a lighter note, here’s a little nugget of encouragement and truth for us to hang our hats on……
Navigating in the hard times of life can be difficult to say the least. In Acts 27, the scriptures tell us that the Apostle Paul is taken into custody as a prisoner of the Imperial Regiment. He is boarded on a ship for Italy. They start off in calm, quiet waters and suddenly, “the weather changed abruptly, and a wind of typhoon strength burst across the island and blew us out to sea.” Ever feel like life broad-sided you? Like a typhoon wind came out of no where and knocked you to the ground? We talk often about the storms of life and the challenges we face as we walk out this journey here on earth. The passage says in verse 20, the storm raged “until all hope was gone.” It was a treacherous time if you can imagine as they faced “typhoon winds”. But Paul said to “take courage”. How could Paul say that? How could he maintain a calm, confident position in the midst of such a storm? How could he be so sure everything was going to be alright? Because he KNEW his God! (Ephesians 3:19) The only way we can navigate through the storms of life and find stability through the storm is do as Paul did, He believed what God said! “God in His goodness has granted safety to everyone sailing with me, So take courage! For I believe God! It will be just as He said!”
So here’s the nugget guys….. God’s word is the first and only source of stability we will ever need! His word is full of promises that offer hope and direction in times of our struggle. He sees you….He sees exactly where you are! He hasn’t lost track of you and where your going. So be of good courage…. even when you feel like your being tossed to and fro…..your Heavenly Father is at the helm of the ship, in the middle of the struggle, and will get you through! Look to God’s word….”it is a light unto your path” and “life to all your flesh”! Take time to meditate on God’s word today…..let the word of God bring stability to your journey!! BLESSINGS
