Are you using your SWORD??
That’s the question of the day! Ya know, sometimes we can get so focused on filling up on the truth’s of God’s word that we completely take ourselves out of the game when it comes to actually APPLYING those truths!!
Here’s what I mean guys….. picture this….. you need to dig a hole….you go get the “tool” (shovel) to get the job done. You make sure you pick the right kind of shovel as there are many. For instance, you don’t choose a flat headed shovel, or a tiny little hand held garden shovel. You choose the spade shovel because you know that this is the tool that will accomplish the task!! This will dig the hole. Now, if we just walked over to the designated area and just stood there, staring at the ground, waiting, shovel in hand but never started shoveling…..guess what? The hole would never be dug!! Your “equipped”, your prepared, you even have your shovel…..but IF YOU DON’T USE YOUR SHOVEL…..YOU WON’T BE DIGGING ANY HOLE!!!
This is the same thing that we can do spiritually at times guys!! We fill up on God’s word. We read great books, we listen to pod-casts, we listen to a minister, we read our devotions, we read our bible and forget to actually pull out our swords and speak life!! We can be full of God’s word and still fail to get our swords out and speak the word of God concerning our situations. That leaves us like sitting ducks guys!! Now, I don’t mean that God checks out and we don’t have any protection!! But I do mean we are not going to make any progress if we don’t know and speak God’s truths concerning our lives and situations. Remember, there is a war going on in the spirit realm, and we can either let the Holy Spirit prompt us to use our swords (the word of God) or we can just stand there and get pommeled!! Ya ever feel like your getting pommeled from all directions?? Well, GET YOUR SWORD OUT AND USE IT!!!!! Take a few scriptures from the word of God and let God’s word take care of your situations!! Remember …. He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE (John 14:6…. notice it says HE is the way, HE is the truth, HE is the life). That means HE has all the answers for every situation and the places we find ourselves. If your looking for which direction to go, if you need God’s truth to shine on your situation for help, and if you need God’s life (peace and tranquility) then pull out that sword and USE IT!!! Pull out your BIBLE!!!!

Psalm 91:2 “I will say of the Lord, “He (God you are) my REFUGE AND FORTRESS; MY GOD, IN HIM (ONLY IN YOU) WILL I TRUST”
Isaiah 54:17 “NO WEAPON formed against me (my family) shall prosper”
Psalm 62:2 “HE (YOU ONLY OH GOD) are my rock and my salvation. YOU are my defense (my strong tower) I shall not be greatly moved (shaken)”
GRAB THOSE SWORDS GUYS AND GET BUSY!!!
