Stairway to Heaven

Howdy Gang…..I just want to share something thats been stirring in my heart lately….

So there has been this excitement and anticipation in my spirit lately!! Can’t really explain it, its been there before. It was there when I began to assist Pastor Kelly Lynnes in ministry many years ago, it was there when a couple of us gals started ministry for families and children, it was there when we started our Outreach ministry (about 16 years ago), and it was there when I spent time in pulpit ministry with Pastor Thelma…I sense transition! I sense a change coming! The words that echo in my spirit from God my Father is, “Have you ever pondered the mystery of WHAT A DAY can bring when I am in it? Can you imagine what a DREAM can look like when I am in it?”  Have you ever stopped life for a moment to really ponder how easy life could be if we did? How easy it could be if God developed it, molded it, forged it, and created it? Have you yielded to God’s tugging, nudges, promptings, and leadings? Has something been rolling around in you and rolling around in you… YET, you pass it off with a shrug of the shoulders? Well, God is calling out to you today!!! He’s saying these thoughts, these promptings, this excitement that you sense when you think about it…...it is YOUR DREAM AND MY PLAN!

Now, I learn and minister my best by pictures. The picture I see in this revelation is “The Stairway to Heaven”. Now, I am NOT talking about the song by Led Zeppelin for all you ol’ rockers….I am talking about actually picturing a stairway. Take for instance you have to get to floor 5….you begin on the ground (where the foundation (Jesus Christ)is ….. get the picture?). As you begin the climb (we can call it spiritual growth) you get to the first platform (not even floor #1 yet) there is a season in that place! I know ….. don’t ya just hate that word season sometimes haha! That season, or period of time can be brief or can be long. Let’s face it, each season, new place of growth, or just plain ol’ waiting usually feels like foooorrrreeevvverrrrr! Right? But, there’s a forging, a molding that is going on there at that landing of each platform on your stairway to heaven!  As you continue on the stairway and reach each platform (landing) and floor there is an unfamiliar but exciting new season (theres that dog gone word again! haha). Pay attention to the words I’m using. The landing represents a place, a season, a TRANSITION from one level to another!!  And the word platform represents an action required by YOU!  Yes!!! YOU!! What are you doing with that platform or place God has given you at this level?? Are you just standing around waiting for the time to pass, wandering around wondering when God is going to perform HIS plan? Or are you actively engaged in EACH season and transition, at each landing and level??? Remember the Bible tells us that “we are changed from glory to glory” (2 Corinthians 3:18).  Understand that each landing is a transitioning place that brings you into a new place toward your dream (actually God’s plan).  Understand that when you begin your journey with our Lord Jesus Christ YOUR DREAM IS HIS PLAN! He plants it in you! It was HIS idea all along! Isn’t that awesome!! We just have to be willing and yes, obedient to keep climbing the stairway, being diligent at each level (no matter how insignificant you might think it is), and active in each of these places!! He will promote your diligence!! Climb your stairway to heaven…. He’s already got your dream waiting!!!
