Patch Work

Howdy gang!

Here’s a little something God has been talking to me about….

I’m a huge fan of quilts! Pretty ones, ugly ones, big ones, small ones, colorful ones, and not so colorful ones. You ever take a good look at a quilt? Sometimes it looks like someone just grabbed left over pieces of fabric and just sewed them together and magically…. a masterpiece! Now, sometimes to our physical eye, we may not call it a masterpiece. We wonder who could or would use something like that! But, interestingly enough, still in our culture today, quilts are recognized as intricate pieces of artwork, as expressions of love, and can be quite pricey!

You can look at a quilt and wonder how on earth these VERY different patterns and colors could possibly go together…..AND YET, they do! They are Master Crafted by these amazing people that take their time into creating a unique piece of art. That’s what our Father in heaven has done with each of us!

Now, many of you know the scripture in Psalm 139:14, “I will praise you, for I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY made; marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows it very.” That’s how we are as the body of Christ! We all are so very different. Different in our looks, in our color, in our EXPRESSIONS to the world, in our UNIQUENESS, YET, we all fit together as a whole.

I think God has an amazing sense of humor! All you have to do is look at how ridiculously different men and women are and there’s your patch work at it’s finest!
I have found through out my years of pursuit in finding my place in the body, and where and who I’m connected to, this place IS VERY DIFFERENT than where and who I would have expected or chosen! We tend to want to choose people and places that “resemble” us or that are most like us…. but that is not always Gods plan! I think if you take a look around you will find that God will place you very strategically where and with whom He chose from the beginning of time!!

Remember this is HIS PLAN AND HIS PURPOSE for your life!

Keep in mind as God arranges and positions you… YOU ARE UNIQUE, YOU ARE A MASTERPIECE, YOU ARE AN EXPRESSION OF THE FATHERS LOVE!! HE WILL PLACE YOU WHERE IT PLEASES HIM!!!
