Seasons ….

Probably an appropriate topic right now since we are moving into our winter transition. I can already sense the frowning going on… Here’s a word of encouragement to get you through the deep-freeze of this winter….

Each of our seasons ushers in a unique and definite theme. Each has a significant PURPOSE to the fulfilling of the year. While Spring brings in the conception of new life, summer emphasizes the fullness of life, fall represents the fading and the letting go of that life, and as the final season, winter, leads us to the ending of that cycle of year.

And ….then…. another cycle of season begins.

As children of God we too have seasons of life. Seasons that usher us into new beginnings, seasons of the fullness of Gods place for us, seasons that God our Father leads us out of, and seasons that seem dead, or idle or even dormant. EVERY season is vital and every season teaches us something new…. if we allow it to! Too often we find ourselves impatient, “wishing”, “hoping”, “praying” for the season to end and for a different season to begin! Let’s remember seasons represent a TEMPORARY place!

In our walk with God we are continually transforming … or we should be continually transforming! The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 3:18 that we “….are being transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.” That means we should be constantly transitioning higher and higher, and deeper and deeper in our faith in God our Father! At the end of each cycle of our seasons of life we should become more like HIM! We should look more like HIM, act more like HIM, love more like HIM!!!

After all, isn’t that the whole point?

Aren’t we supposed to represent Jesus Christ in the earth?

“So we are CHRIST’S AMBASSADORS; God is making his appeal THROUGH us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “come back to God”. (2 Corinthians 5:20). So let’s not let the different seasons become muddled with impatience. But, let’s seek for the true wisdom God can teach us in each season! Embrace your seasons…. The fruit of new growth will emulate from your very being!!
