Cultivate Devotion

Dynamic devotion is cultivated deep within the rich soil of our hearts by knowing, understanding, and trusting in the very character and beauty and nature of God.
Sometimes we don’t have the answers to the “why” questions but the beautiful thing about having a deep devotion to our Lord Jesus is that we can always rely on the answer to the “who” question. Much of the time we do not have understanding of why we go through certain trials and suffering’s. But understand we can always be assured that while going through these hard places and having cultivated a precious devotion to our Lord trusting in his amazing love, his unfailing righteousness, and his great power, we WILL endure!!! Because we know WHO is in our corner with us! WHO fights for us!
Remember Psalm 91, God speaks of how “He rescues us from every trap and protects us from every fatal plague”. When we spend time meditating, praying, worshipping, and studying we begin to learn or cultivate the very nature of WHO God really is! The more we KNOW WHO HE IS the greater confidence (Trust) we have in Him during those trials and suffering times. Think about how when you were a young child and something happened and you ran to your parent for their help and protection. They were there to always make it right, to always make things ok, to always protect you!! WHY, because that’s what a loving, faithful, parent does! And the funny thing is is when we’re that young there is NO DOUBT, there is NO QUESTION of whether they would protect us or help us! We just knew WHO to run to and that everything would be OK! It is the same thing with our loving Heavenly Father! Through these trials and sufferings we run to Him because we know His real nature, we know who He really is, that He loves us and will protect us. No matter what!!! So cultivate that deep devotion! Spend time with your Heavenly Father!!!! He wants you to know him deeply so you will have full confidence in HIM when trials come!
