Let there “BE”
Genesis 1, 2:1-7
” In the beginning God CREATED the heavens and the earth. The earth WAS without form and void and darkness was on the face of the earth.”
The word “form” used here is defined as “lacking order” and the word “void” comes from the Hebrew word tohu/bohu which means chaotic mess, worthless thing, for no purpose, and sheer emptiness. So our heavenly Father created something from nothing!!
Verses 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, and 26 says, ” Then God SAID let there BE…..” and there was!! God spoke and the very words He spoke became that which He declared!! Isaiah 55:11, ” So shall my word BE that goes forth from my mouth; It shall not return to me VOID, but is shall accomplish what I please, and it will prosper in the thing for which I sent it” Genesis 2:7, ” and the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and a man became a living being.”
Do you ever feel like a piece of DIRT/dust …a nothing? Have you ever experienced the feelings of worthlessness, feelings of being a complete chaotic mess with no purpose…..feelings of sheer emptiness? Well, just as God breathed life into creating this unsearchable world, He breathed life and purpose into YOU!! He is the DIVINE INVENTOR of creating the SOMETHINGS from the NOTHING!! It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, where you’ve been, how ugly your past or present is…..He will breathe LIFE into the very DIRT of your life and bring forth all that He intended from the beginning for you to be and accomplish! Remember, “It shall not return to me VOID…” meaning HE will put the mess in order, your purpose in front of you, and fill your emptiness with Love, joy, and peace!!! Your DIRT isn’t a problem for God at all…He’s used to working with it….look around….look what He created from NOTHING into SOMETHING….the unfathomable, indescribable, immeasurable, unexplainable universe. So let’s consider ourselves in great company knowing God can take our NOTHINGNESS and create some amazing SOMETHINGS!!! Your Father created you with the most tender concern and great attention to detail…trust Him ….tell Him you need him and his original design for you…He has been waiting for you!!
